PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HYDROTITE offers a wide range of hydrophilic, non-toxic,
synthetic rubber profiles that are used for the sealing of pre-cast
and cast-in-place concrete construction joints. HYDROTITE
profiles are supplied and installed in rubber strips or coils
that have the capacity to swell up to 5 times their original
volume upon contact by water, while still maintaining their rubber-like
properties. |

PRODUCT HISTORY
HYDROTITE hydrophilic sealing materials were developed
in Japan during the late 1970's for use as an active waterproofing
sealant for underground concrete tunnel linings. Thousands of
kilometers of blue HYDROTITE are used annually in Europe,
Asia and North America, both in tunneling and in the waterproofing
of conventional concrete structures. |
